Basically, polymer clays act just like paint. If you are already familiar with the color wheel and mixing paint then go ahead and start mixing your polymer clay. It's just the same as with mixing paint. All you need to do is knead the clay. But for those who are not familiar with mixing colors. Here is a short summary to help you:
Primary Colors (colors without mixing anything other color)
Secondary Colors (colors you get when you mixed 2 primary colors)
- Orange (Red + Yellow)
- Green (Yellow + Blue)
- Violet (Red +Blue)
With this at hand, by just adding white or black to the clays, you then get different shades of your polymer clay. Hope this helps :) Remember, you need to knead your polymer clay more to really mix the colors unless you want to have a marbled look. :)
